Welcome to St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy.
St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy serves the Parish of English Martyrs (Alvaston and Chellaston).
The Patron Saint of our School is Saint John Fisher.
At our school, faith is at the heart of what we do and underpins everything. Academically, we strive to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that engages and challenges all children to reach their full potential. We believe that every child has unique talents and strengths that need to be nurtured and developed.
Our curriculum is designed to be inclusive and accessible to all learners, regardless of their background or ability. We offer a range of subjects, including English, maths, science, humanities, and the arts, as well as opportunities for physical education and outdoor learning.
We believe that a child’s education should be about more than just academic success. We place a strong emphasis on developing our pupils’ social, emotional, and personal skills, to help them become well-rounded, confident individuals who are ready to take on the challenges of the world.
At our school, we encourage a love of learning and a growth mindset, where children are encouraged to take risks and learn from their mistakes. We value hard work, determination, and resilience, and we believe that every child can achieve great things if they are given the right support and encouragement.
We are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers, to ensure that every child receives the best possible education and support. We believe that by working together, we can help every child to thrive and achieve their full potential.
Thank you for considering our school for your child’s education. We look forward to working with you and your child, to create a happy, safe, and successful learning journey.
