Mental Health and Wellbeing

We work closely with Compass to support children, families and staff in school with their mental health and well-being.

  • We have regular link meetings to review our mental health audit and plan necessary actions.
  • We discuss concerns with them to identify if referrals should be made.
  • We plan Celebrations of the Word and workshops throughout the year to support children with common themes: anxiety, sleep, friendships, bullying, transition to secondary school.

Public Health 5-19’s Health Prospectus for Schools (Pirple Book)

PH Schools Prospectus (Purple Book)

This new prospectus brings together a wide range of health and wellbeing topics, alongside up-to-date guidance, local services, resources and support available to children, families and schools.

This has been developed to help parents and carers access reliable information to support their child’s health, while also providing schools with a valuable reference tool to inform practice and enhance the delivery of Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) and wider health and wellbeing initiatives.

The prospectus includes information on topics such as the importance of registering with a GP and dentist, emotional wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, vaccinations and accessing healthcare services.
