Daily Reading Diaries:
KS1 Parents are asked to write the name of the reading book and the page numbers that were read each day, followed by their signature. They can add other comments if they wish but this is not essential.
KS2 pupils themselves can complete the details of the book they are reading and the page numbers they have read but the parents should still sign to say they have read.
Foundation
- 10 minutes reading daily
- 5 mins phonics & letter or number formation daily
- 5 Mins Numeracy e.g. Number Bonds daily
Year 1
- 10 minutes reading daily
- 5 minutes spelling daily
- 10 minutes on Numbots daily
Year 2
- 10 minutes reading daily
- 5 minutes spelling daily
- 10 minutes on Numbots/ TTRockstars daily
Year 3
- 10 minutes reading daily
- 5 minutes spelling daily
- 10 minutes on TTRockstars daily
Year 4
- 10 minutes reading daily
- 5 minutes spelling daily
- 10 minutes on TTRockstars daily
Year 5
A minimum of:
- 10 minutes reading daily
- 5 minutes spelling daily
- Plus any extra that is felt to be appropriate
Year 6
A minimum of:
- 10 minutes reading daily
- 5 minutes spelling daily
